Whether the client chooses a European style, French Country, Contemporary, or any other variation, he can be assured of a final product that meets his expectations. Lee has been in construction since 1971, so he scrutinizes with a practiced eye the framing, trim work and other aspects of those on his work force. A great satisfaction grows out of knowing that people appreciate your work. Many clients are really proud of their homes and more than willing to show them. Kendall Drive in Meadowview Estates provides a powerful example of the delay chain response. One by one. W. Lee Roland built every house on that street. Location aside, Roland is winning awards. At the 1996 Home-A-Rama,they garnered a gold in the most coveted category, Best Craftsmanship, and another gold for Best Landscaping. Then add silvers for Interior Design, Kitchen, Lighting and Bath. At the Parade of Homes in 1995, Roland took the top award for Best Exterior and additional awards for Decoration, Kitchen and bath. |
Rosalie earned her undergraduate degree at Eastern Mennonite University. Lee and Rosalie have taken pleasure in their son Brent's graduation from the same institution. Daughter, Mindi, is currently a sophomore history major at Eastern Mennonite. Rosalie is serving on the Board of Directors for the University. The family has had many involvement's at Slate Hill Mennonite Church. Lee shares his musical talents on the guitar in various on the worship services. At present Lee is serving on the Church Council and Rosalie is a member of the Stewardship Commission. Rosalie puts her master's in business education, earned at Shippensburg, to good use in the office. Costing of projects, deadlines with clients, lending institutions, material suppliers, etc., are pleasurable. Lee, more often, is in the field overseeing the actual construction. A board member of the Harrisburg Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg and a member of the Better Business Bureau, Lee Roland also sponsors a team in the local baseball league. They are strong supporters of Cumberland Valley's House Against Hunger, where the company provided and installed the last home's kitchen cabinets. Rosalie is currently chairperson of the Sterring Committee for New Hope Ministries in Mechanicsburg. Since starting the company in 1976, Lee and Rosalie Roland have enjoyed working together. They approach projects and problems as a team. They are justly proud of their dream homes with a reputation for excellent construction and continuing service to clients, even after construction is completed. |
